What is Paintball?Paintball is an action oriented sport in which two opposing teams compete to eliminate opponents by marking them with a paintball while trying to achieve a common goal such as capturing a flag, etc. What is capture the flag?Capture the flag is the most common scenario used to play paintball games. In this scenario there are two teams that each possess a flag. The goal of the game is to capture your opponent’s flag and return it to your flag station. Players may only touch an opponent’s flag in this game. Players may not touch or move their own team’s flag. How old do I have to be to play paintball at most paintball fields?Players must be a minimum of 10 years old to play paintball. Player under the age of 18 are required to have a parent’s signature on our waiver form before being allowed onto the playing fields or target range. THERE IS NO ACCEPTABLE SUBSTITUE FOR A PRENTS’S SIGNATURE ON OUR WAIVER FORM. NOTES FROM HOME DO NOT WORK, NOR DO SIGNATURES OF BROTHERS, SISTERS, AUNTS, UNCLES, FRIEND’S PARENTS, ETC. What is the difference between an open game and a private game?Private games involve just your group of players. In other words your group will not play with other players and groups at the field during the day. Private groups are charged for a minimum of 20 players. Private game fees include admission and rental. Players may use their own personal guns in private games if allowed by the group organizer, but are charged the same fee as players utilizing rental equipment. Some paintball fields run group outings including corporate events, birthday parties, bachelor parties, community groups, and church groups. Open games are for walk on players or groups that do not elect to play privately. Many beginning players play in open games on the weekend. Do I need a reservation to play, or can I just show up?If you need rental equipment it is strongly suggested you make a reservation to guarantee equipment availability. There are days when all rental equipment is booked before the day begins. You can always give us call to check availability of equipment. Remember that if you haven’t paid your game fees you do not have a reservation or guaranteed rental equipment. Why do I have to pay game and rental fees in advance, and why are they nonrefundable?Game fields require fees to be paid in advance to protect against no shows. If players are not accountable for a reservation, it is easy to book guns and not show up to play at the last minute. In that case, the game filed loses the opportunity to book those guns to other customers. Therefore, most fields require advance payment of all admission and rental fees. Additionally, deposits are nonrefundable. If you are paying for a group it is strongly recommended that you collect money from your players in advance so you do not get stuck paying for no shows. How far in advance of my play date do I need to make a reservation? As early as possible. With a private group it is a good idea to reserve a minimum of two weeks in advance. All game fees must be paid two weeks in advance. Keep in mind fields have to hire additional staff for private groups. Therefore advance notice is key. Sometimes fields can accommodate private groups with less notice, but you are taking a chance we cannot run you game if wait too long to book your private game. Open game reservations are taken up to the day prior to play. |
